As many regular RIMarkable readers know, I participate in a weekly podcast about wireless technology news and gadgets called the Simple Mobile Review Podcast .  It’s a fairly new show that we (myself and the guys over at Simple Mobile Review ) started recording around the beginning of the year and we’ve just completed our 29th episode , of which every single last one of them has been absolute blast to record. Word on the street is that Jersey Shore star Snooki accidentally Tweeted her BlackBerry PIN to her 310,000 plus Twitter followers.  The ensuing wave of messages rendered her BlackBerry useless. Note to self…  If you ever get 310K Twitter followers, don’t frigging accidentally Tweet your PIN out to all of them.

When it comes to BlackBerry Twitter clients , there certainly is no shortage of options for you to choose from.  Unfortunately, however, the BlackBerry Twitter client considered by many to be the best, Social Scope , has been in closed beta for what seems like the past couple of years and a production release, or, even an open beta available to whomever wishes to download it is no where in sight. Will Social Scope ever come out of beta? For those of you lucky enough to have the latest version, is it worth the wait?  Personally, I’ve moved on a while ago.  The Official Twitter for BlackBerry client is my BlackBerry Twitter app of choice and I have UberTwitter installed as well.  Ever now and again, however, I hear some say how awesome Social Scope is and it makes me wonder why they haven’t released it yet.

The official Twitter for BlackBerry client went into public beta back in April of this year.  It was later updated to version 1.0.0.40 in May.  Now that we are at the beginning of July, Twitter for BlackBerry is coming out of beta and will be officially released on BlackBerry App World sometime tonight. Twitter For BlackBerry Coming Out Of Beta… Officially Available Tonight

There is a new version of UberTwitter , arguably the most popular Twitter client for the BlackBerry, currently in a closed beta.  The upcoming version, .9747, sports a completely reworked user interface which BlackBerry Leaks was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of. Feedback on the new UberTwitter UI is pretty mixed.  It kind of reminds me of the official Twitter for BlackBerry client, which, I actually quite like, thus, you can probably figure out which camp I fall into. New UberTwitter for BlackBerry feature include: Completely new User Interface with several color themes Uber Channels – A directory of hierarchical topics with the best tweeters from each topic managed in a twitter list

BlackBerry Application: New Verison Of UberTwitter With Reworked UI Currently In Closed Beta

We just heard that the official Twitter for BlackBerry client which is currently in open beta will receive an update tonight.  Just a week ago we asked what you thought about Twitter for BlackBerry and it seemed like the biggest issue was the inability to edit a Re-Tweet.  Well, it looks like this, and a lot of other features have been added to the update which will start rolling out tonight.

Twitter for BlackBerry Beta Updated And Leaked!

Today at CTIA 2010, CrackBerry Kevin found out that the official Twitter for BlackBerry client will launch next Wednesday, March 31st.  Twitter for BlackBerry has been in a “closed” beta for over a month, although you could easily find a leaked version online if you looked hard enough.
