Although we probably won’t definitively find out if RIM is going to officially name the BlackBerry 9800 Slider BlackBerry Torch until next Tuesday, the odds of this being the case look pretty good. We’ve been hearing all summer that the 9800 Slider would be named BlackBerry Torch and RIM has recently registered the domain name BlackBerryTorch.com RIM has also snagged the domain name BlackPad.com presumably for the BlackBerry Tablet rumored to be released towards the end of this year or early next, however, we doubt that this is the name that they will go with.

Salomondrin has posted a new video of the BlackBerry 9800 Slider . There isn’t a lot of stuff here that we haven’t seen before , but, I’ve got to say… The BlackBerry 9800 Slider is one slick device. I don’t believe I would be going out on a limb by stating that if BlackBerry 6 is solid and the new WebKit BlackBerry Browser doesn’t suck, AT&T will sell a ridiculous number of BlackBerry 9800 Sliders. Rumor has it that Research in Motion could release as many as 6 new BlackBerry devices before the end of the year. It would appear that handset designers at RIM clearly follow the Mantra stick with what works. Out of the 6 devices listed to be coming out in the 2nd half of 2010, 1 maybe 2, do I actually find interesting. The BlackBerry rumored to be coming out are: BlackBerry 9800 Slider “Talladaga” — August BlackBerry Curve 9300/9300 BlackBerry Bold “Atlas” Touchscreen BlackBerry Bold 9900 “Onyx Delta” BlackBerry 9670 Clamshell “Oxford” Touchscreen BlackBerry Curve “Dakota” The next BlackBerry that I buy personally will be a full touchscreen device on Verizon. Doesn’t sound like any of these devices fit the bill, however, the BlackBerry Bold 9800 Slider and the BlackBerry Bold 9900 sound kind of interesting. RIM May Release 6 New BlackBerry Devices Before Years End.

CrackBerry has probably the best looking pictures of the BlackBerry Bold 9800 Slider , rumored to hit AT&T by months end, to hit the web yet. I have no intention on moving to AT&T to get this device, however, I must say what an awfully good looking device the Bold 9800 Slider is. If the June release rumors are true, we should, unless Apple is going the Verizon route and officially announcing the Bold 9800 Slider less 24 hours before the time of it’s release, start to hear official word on this device any time now. Rumors of a new device code named the Blackberry Onyx Delta are starting to float around and raising questions as they do. First, what is a BlackBerry Onyx Delta. Second, why is the code name BlackBerry Onyx being used again? BlackBerry Leaks believes that the BlackBerry Onyx Delta may actually be the BlackBerry Bold 9700a . The Bold 9700a was initially thought to be the BlackBerry Slider , but, we know now that the Slider is the Bold 9800. We’re told that the (Bold) 9700a is going to be a refreshed Bold 9700 with upgraded hardware and features.
