We heard rumors that Facebook for BlackBerry would get updated last week, however, it looks like we were a bit premature. That being said, Facebook for BlackBerry Smartphones 1.8.0.49 is now available to all in BlackBerry App World

According to PhoneScoop , the BlackBerry Bold 9650 is heading to U.S. Cellular and will be available on August 18th. The device will cost $230 on a 2-year contract

There are rumors floating around that the release of Facebook for BlackBerry version 1.8 is imminent. The version on BlackBerry App World and at http://www.blackberry.com/facebook is still 1.6, however, the chatter about 1.8 being release very soon (possibly today) is picking up. If we hear anything, we will update this post

BBLeaks is reporting that BlackBerry 6 and the BlackBerry 9800 Slider are now supported in BlackBerry App World. Rumor has it that the BlackBerry Slider will launch on AT&T August 15th , so, it makes sense that support for the device and BlackBerry 6 would start to appear. Salomondrin has posted what we believe to be the first images of the BlackBerry Bold 9870 to the web. This Bold 9780 is almost identical to the Bold 9700 except for its darker bezel and 512 Mb or Ram compared to just 256 Mb. It is a bit hard to make out from this picture, however, the BlackBerry Bold 9780 is running BlackBerry 6. I am definitely looking forward to a video of BlackBerry 6 running on a device that doesn’t have a touch screen
