LuciD Messenger Coming To BlackBerry

LuciD Messenger Coming To BlackBerry

LuciD Messenger is a cross platform instant messaging client currently available on the iPhone, Android devices, and is coming to the BlackBerry as soon as it is approved.  The LuciD messaging system allows users to send messages to friends, create chats (groups of up to 30 people), share images and files, keep your friends up-to-date with your status, and a whole lot more. Even though BlackBerry Messenger is insanely popular, I am not sure how well a smartphone only IM client is going to do even if it is cross platform.  Consumers have a lot of choice when it comes to IM clients and apps that have a desktop component have have an advantage in my book

There Is A New Version of Loopt For BlackBerry Out

There is a new version of Loopt for the BlackBerry out with some pretty cool new features…  My favorite being the ability to launch Loopt directly from your contacts.  The map is also its own tab now, making it easier to locate your friends. For those of you not familiar with Loopt, it is basically a Location Based Service / Social Networking application all wrapped up into one… Loopt shows users where friends are located and what they are doing via detailed, interactive maps on their mobile phones. Loopt helps friends connect on the fly and navigate their social lives by orienting them to people, places and events

The Train Wreck Called BlackBerry App World

Just over a year ago, Rod Simmons from Simple Mobile Review , wrote a great guest post for us on his thoughts on moving to the BlackBerry Storm from and iPhone user point of view .  Now he’d like to get something off his chest about BlackBerry App World. Is it just me or is the Blackberry App World a train wreck. Navigating for apps in App World is like getting a grain of sand in your eyes at the beach

Palm Pre – Is It Better Than BlackBerry?

The Palm Pre, which was released earlier this year, is hoping to crush the competition of argueably the most dominant device, that of the BlackBerry.  Generally, Palm’s devices have been unable to compete with the likes of BlackBerry and Apple over the years, however, the Palm Pre looks to make things more interesting than ever. The main reason why BlackBerrys are so successful is two way communication
