If you are a Verizon BlackBerry user there is a good chance that you’ve already had the installer icon for Social Beat for BlackBerry pushed to your device. Social Beat is a social networking client that allows you to connect to multiple networks all from one the same client. Think Social Scope, but, not in a state of never ending beta and attainable by all Verizon BlackBerry users

From the looks of things T-Mobile has discontinued the BlackBerry Curve 8900 . You don’t seem to be able to add the device to your cart when trying to check out on the T-Mobile website. We’ve been hearing rumors about the BlackBerry Curve 8910 which is essentially an 8900 with a trackpad. The BlackBerry 8910 received FCC approval a few weeks back, so, it makes sense that someone would start selling it soon. Maybe that someone is T-Moible… [Source Eric ] T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve 8900 Discontinued: Are They Paving Way For The BlackBerry 8910? is a post from: RIMarkable

The BlackBerry Curve 8910 has received FCC approval. It is basically a BlackBerry Curve 8900 with trackball, and it’s been confirmed that, like it predecessor, the BlackBerry Curve 8910 lacks 3G. Many question why Research in Motion continues to pump out devices that don’t have 3G, but, to make a long story short, carriers like T-Mobile keep ordering them and AT&T keep ordering them. I was just having a very interesting conversation with a couple of co-workers… One is a long-time BlackBerry user. The other just got a brand new iPhone 3G S for Christmas. As iPhone 3G S user showed off their new gadget, long time BlackBerry user said, “That iPhone is pretty cool, but, I would never get one because it has no keyboard.” iPhone user replied, “I really miss they keyboard on my Curve, but, the OS on here allows me to do so much more than I used to be able to do.” This got me to thinking… RIM has no choice but to overhaul the BlackBerry OS and some point. Apple could sell keyboardless iPhones forever, but, they undoubtedly would exclude millions of potential customers that will never buy a phone without buttons, so, I think that we eventually will see an iPhone model with a keyboard.
