The rumor of the day appears to the one coming from BBLeaks stating that Verizon is going to End of Life both the BlackBerry Storm2 9550 and the BlackBerry Curve 8530 to make way for new devices that will run BlackBerry 6. The big question for me, however, is will the BlackBerry Storm2 support BlackBerry 6? We’ve already heard that Verizon has stopped testing BlackBerry 6 on the Storm2 due memory issues

Kaufman Bros. analyst Shaw Wu said in a research note yesterday that BlackBerry 6 , the next version of Research in Motion’s BlackBerry operating system, may not come out on CDMA networks like Sprint and Verizon until 2011.

A video of the, yet to be officially announced, BlackBerry Curve 9300 is making its way around the web. As most BlackBerry Curves to come before it, the 9300, code named Kelper, appears to be a pretty solid device. The BlackBerry Curve 9300 is definitely still in pre-production. It only runs a version of OS 5, however, we imagine that this device will be upgradable to BlackBerry6 if it doesn’t come out of the gate with it. Rumor has it that Research in Motion could release as many as 6 new BlackBerry devices before the end of the year. It would appear that handset designers at RIM clearly follow the Mantra stick with what works. Out of the 6 devices listed to be coming out in the 2nd half of 2010, 1 maybe 2, do I actually find interesting. The BlackBerry rumored to be coming out are: BlackBerry 9800 Slider “Talladaga” — August BlackBerry Curve 9300/9300 BlackBerry Bold “Atlas” Touchscreen BlackBerry Bold 9900 “Onyx Delta” BlackBerry 9670 Clamshell “Oxford” Touchscreen BlackBerry Curve “Dakota” The next BlackBerry that I buy personally will be a full touchscreen device on Verizon. Doesn’t sound like any of these devices fit the bill, however, the BlackBerry Bold 9800 Slider and the BlackBerry Bold 9900 sound kind of interesting. RIM May Release 6 New BlackBerry Devices Before Years End.
